Join me on my journey from planning to wheels up.
My name is Bjoern, I’m a 48 year old A350 airline pilot living in Switzerland, and this is my RV-8 build project. After years of flying commercial jets, I decided to build my own aircraft from a Van’s Aircraft kit.
The aircraft, registered as HB-YWW, is being assembled in Switzerland near the beautiful lake of Zurich. This website documents every phase of the build with detailed logs, cost tracking, and time analysis.
Target first flight: February 27, 2028 at 12:00pm
